Terms of Use
Please read this before using RoadForms. It explains what the service does, what it doesn't do, and where responsibility sits between us and you.
South Africa only
RoadForms produces RTMC/NATIS documents (RLV, NCO, NCP) for vehicles registered in South Africa, for use under South African law. It isn't intended for, and won't be useful for, a vehicle registered in any other country. If you're not dealing with a South African vehicle registration, this service isn't for you — please don't pay for a document you won't be able to use.
What RoadForms does
We take the information you provide and lay it out correctly on the current official RTMC/NATIS template for the document you've chosen. That's the whole job: correct formatting, on the correct template, ready for you to sign.
What RoadForms doesn't do
We don't submit anything to the RTMC, NATIS, or any licensing department on your behalf, and we don't verify the information you type in. Signing and submitting the finished document is your own step, and the accuracy of what you told us — your name, ID number, vehicle details, and so on — is your responsibility, not ours. If you enter something incorrectly, we can't be responsible for the consequences of that.
Changes outside our control
We build every document directly against the real, current government template, and we keep them up to date as changes become known to us. But we can't control, and aren't responsible for:
- Sudden or unannounced changes the Department of Transport makes to a form's layout or requirements — we update our templates as soon as we reasonably can once a change becomes known, but can't guarantee a document generated before we've caught up will still match a template that's just changed.
- Local municipal or licensing-department requirements, bylaws, or internal practices that vary from office to office, or that change without any official public announcement. We have no way of knowing about a purely local requirement that was never publicised.
No guarantee of acceptance
We can't guarantee that any specific licensing department or official will accept your document — that decision is entirely theirs to make, for reasons that may have nothing to do with the document itself.
Payment and refunds
RoadForms is a once-off digital service — your document is generated immediately once payment is confirmed. Because of that, we don't offer refunds for a simple change of mind after your document has been generated. If something went wrong on our end — the document was genuinely mis-formatted, or generation failed after you paid — contact us and we'll put it right or refund that transaction.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, RoadForms's responsibility for anything going wrong is limited to the fee you paid for that transaction. We aren't liable for indirect losses — a wasted trip, lost time, or a rejected application — except where that resulted from our own error in producing the document, not from information you provided or a rule outside our control as described above.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.
